It's official, it's Fall!

It's time for heavier fabrics, cozy knits and cold-fighting accessories. But Fall fashion trends aren't only about clothes, they are also about beauty and some of the best trends in makeup are definitely setting in with the cooler air. 

Here are my top 5 makeup trends, straight from the runway, for Fall/Winter 2012.

1. I've-just-been-outside flushed cheeks. 

A rosy hue gives you that just-hit-the-slopes vibe and there is nothing chicer that being a ski-bunny. 

2. Bold Brows.

Now, this is a trend that doesn't mean pencil on a few extra inches.  Rather, it should be strong brows that are well-manicured and look pristine yet powerful. 

3. Extreme Cat-eyes.

Call it the tribute to my gal the (and unbelievably great) Amy Winehouse, or just a need for a little sass to come through despite being bundled up.  This look is all about attitude.  

4.  The smokey eye goes brown!

 I love this look.  Part Brooke Shields and part Kate Moss, this is the perfect marriage between the Glamazons and Grunge.   

5. Statement Lips. 

There are two ways to wear this look and I can appreciate either.  If you are feeling a bit intimidated by this pronounced pout, matte lipsticks are the way to go.  But if you want to go all out try a deep blood red for the ultimate in on-trend beauty.
