LKISEvents: White Out at Diner en Blanc
Imagine emerging on beautiful scultural open-air grounds, in the middle of downtown Montreal, with thousands of guests all dressed in head-to-toe white elegance and ready to dine at long banquet tables covered in food with white balloons floating alongside the table. Sounds like a fairytale, right? Well, I can say first hand that the annual Diner en Blanc is exactly that.

Last week, 4000+ people went to a secret location for the annual Diner en Blanc dressed to the nines and ready for a dinner party to end all dinner parties. I donned my whitest white and headed out to check out this sight to behold.

People came in droves (on buses) prepared with picnic baskets filled with their food and they arrived without knwoing in advance that they were headed to the Place des Arts grounds. This event has been going on for four years and you can tell that the folks who are ready to dine in white are diehard.

I loved the white-out look of everything. It was etherreal and utterly beautiful.

The fashion and style-spotting was fabulous. One girl even wore wings!

I saw tons of milinery fun (that's headwear people).

I loved this burlesque-inspired top-hat.

And, check out Lolitta Dandoy's fabulous fascinator.

One girl even wore her wedding dress! Now, there's an idea...

I had on my cocktail dress and fit right in with the sea of white.

The whole evening was definitely a feast for the eyes (and a feast in general it seemed for some diners!) and it reminded me of just how cool and completely beautiful our city can be.
