LKISObsession: Shopping Summer Footwear
You may have gathered by last week's post, I have been on vacation. But, alas, vacation from life never means vacation from blogging (obvi!).
And, even when I am far from home, trying to relax, I am still always scoping out the vibe for style inspiration! On my vacay, aside from adventures with my own ensembles (you can see more of that kind of thing coming up on www.lkisstyle.com), I have also been doing a ton of window shopping (and maaaaaaybe a bit of actual shopping too... take a wild guess what item below I maaaaay have purchased!).
The essential item I have been completely obsessed with on this vacation has been footwear (not that this vacation is all that different than my day-to-day obsession with gorgoeus shoes!). I have managed to spot a ton of cute stuff on my jaunt in Europe and here is a little taste.
I fawned over these sparkly wedges and thought they were super-fun.
Sparkles and colours are definitely a good find for this season.
Then I saw these adorable wedges with puffy oversized bows.
They screamed nautical and adorable all at the same time. Perfect for those days by the water!
And, speaking of nautical, check out these kitten-heel slip-ons, with navy stripes fit for boating and did I mention the rhinestones!?
A huge trend we have seen all over has been the wedge lace-up sneaker. These are everywhere (the south of France is no exception!). I loved the brightly coloured ones in hues like neon orange, bright pink and electric blue.
Of course, I have also been spotting tons of slipper-loafers in a ton of fab colours and designs (remember my post on them from Spring: http://montreal.virginradio.ca/blog/Style/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10367052, well, this trend is here for summer too!).
I also spotted these mamoth wedges in snake print, which are certainly not for the faint-of-fashion-heart...I would wear them with a simple LBD or a pair of super-tight skinny jeans.
After window-shopping up a storm on the mean retail streets of Europe, I have come to this style conclusion: Shoes are an amazing way to update a closet and integrate a seasonal trend.
So, which ones did I buy?
I will fill you in on my blog on www.lkisstyle.com at the end of the week!
