LKISEvents: Modelling for the SWAP Team

Posted By: LKIS · 6/6/2012 9:00:00 AM

I was recently approached to potentially get involved with the SWAP Team.
What is the SWAP Team, you ask?

Well, it is this cool non-profit organization that has helped keep tons of thousands of clothes out of landfills by creating clothe-swapping events across Canada (how neat is that?!).  The whole one-man's-trash-is-another-man's-treasure idea is taken to new, and very fashionable heights by these utterly fabulous ladies.

It's called sustainable style, and it's very cool.

When asked what would be expected of me, suddenly I was invited for a fitting and a photoshoot!

Model? Moi?! Well, sure...this girl is not exactly camera-shy...

After having picked out and been fitted for my clothes, I headed in for my photo shoot and went straight into hair and makeup.

I got beautified by the team, and was then escorted to a super-awesome industrial venue where the delightful photographer snapped photo after photo.

Then it was time for the second look.
The whole team made me feel right at home and yes, I remembered to sm-eyes (thank gawd for all my ANTM watching!).

And, then onto the third outfit! (peplum anyone?)

The whole gang oohed and aahed over each other's pics and it was great to see all the fabulous bloggers getting ready and then getting snapped.

Of course, I donated a whole pile of clothes to the organization and they will all be up for swapping-grabs at the event being held in Montreal at Place-des-Arts on July 28 and 29th.

I will be there, ready and waiting to trade in for some great fashion finds.

See you at the SWAP!
