Named after a street in their native Detroit, the R&B group 7 Mile comprised Luther "Squeaky" Jackson, Glynis "Lil' G" Martin, Seantezz "Tezz" Robinson and Deion "D" Lucas. Signing to Mariah Carey's short-lived Sony subsidiary Crave Records, the quartet issued their debut single "Just a Memory" in 1998; their self-titled debut LP followed later that same year.
