Album Review

Less than a year after Ace subsidiary BGP paired Songs and Hey Love onto one disc, Raven released a two-fer that made Aladdin and Dinner Music available on one disc. Not only do the original albums deserve to be released separately, but both the Raven and BGP two-fers ruin the strange sleeve artwork that adorned the original LPs. Aladdin/Dinner Music is a bit sore on the eyes, placing shrunken photos of the original covers in front of a background of intersecting ovals. As of 2003, this was the only way to obtain either album on CD. Neither album matches Rotary Connection, Songs, or Hey Love, but each has a couple of great songs.
